 History
Established as Turkey's first specialized manufacturer of High Precision Ball Bearings in 1983. Steyr Waelzlager of Austria provided licence and technical assistance at the outset. Today ORS stands alone among the premier manufacturers of Ball Bearings. ORS' headquarters are located in Polatli, an adjacent city to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, ORS operates from a 40,000 square meter, state of the art manufacturing facility. Quality (click here to learn more about ORS's quality control) Minimizing Friction by producing zero defect bearings is ORS's target. Advanced Metrology, Metallography, and Chemical Laboratories at ORS, are maintained and fully equipped to control incoming material quality. Quality control and measurement at each step of production is the ORS standard. Production (click here to go step-by-step through the process) Raw material used is 100 Cr 6 (SAE 52100 chrome steel) with highly improved microcleanliness and low inclusion content. This raw material comes in forms of bar, tube or forged and cold rolled rings. Bar stock is up to 40 mm diameter, forged or cold rings up to 150 mm and wither tube or forged rings for larger sizes.
