Hot Forging
By induction heating to 1200 centigrade, bar stock
is fed to a high speed, fully automatic Hot Forging Press with
loads from 100 to 300 tons, depending on the material diameter.
This forms 1 to 2 pieces per second. Forged rings are then subjected
to spherodizing annealing heat treatment to achieve a homogenous
microstructure and hardness necessary for chip removal.

Cold Roll Forming
Rings that have been forged and heat treated, are
then enlarged by Cold Roll Forming. This operation, expands the
ring homogenously in all sections. A benefit of this process is
the improvement of the rings mechanical properties.

Turning
CNC turning centers or automated lines of single
spindle machines are set for continuous processing.
|
|
Heat Treatment
Rings are heat treated in specifically designed
and controlled atmospheric furnaces, ensuring material oriented
for a long service life.

|
Grinding
Dimensional working accuracy of bearing rings is
achieved by grinding and super-finishing of the face, outer diameter,
bore diameter and raceways. Tolerances are measured in microns.
Super-finishing allows 10 times tighter tolerances as it removes
micro-roughness on raceways.

Washing
All components are thoroughly cleaned in fully
automatic, ultrasonic units equipped with ultra-filtration service.
|
|
Pressing
Cages and shields produced from deep drawn steel
strip in fully automatic presses with multiple stations. Roto-finishing
removes all burrs.
|
|
Assembly
Bearing parts are assembled in fully automatic
lines with 100% control of many parameters. After matching of
inner and outer races, the balls are inserted, cage is located
and riveted, grease is filled, and shields or seals are installed.
100% sound testing of each unit and the final inspection checks
are completed prior to the final stage, the application of conservation
oil.

Packing
The last step of production is packing to customer
requirements. Different options would include single, production,
or specialty packaging so that the bearing reaches the customer
in the most advantageous manner.
